Salary: £50,000-£60,000

To oversee a five million pound new build spa and leisure project.

This is the first phase and forms part of a 5 star resort hotel development scheme due for completion in 2011 with a total investment of over fifteen million pounds. Our aim at The Mere is to create the North West’s number one destination resort and we are providing a unique opportunity for a senior leisure and spa director to be part of something new and exciting.

Our new spa and leisure development will be opening in December 2010. In this key position we are looking for an individual who can demonstrate a track record of new business openings within 5 star resort hotel spas and has a professional approach to business development.

The pre requisites to candidates applying for this position are the following;

  • Senior management experience in a luxury golf resort
  • Genuine passion for service excellence
  • A background in retailing and sales promotion
  • Ability to drive and lead all operational aspects of the leisure and spa
  • Strong understanding of financial business and performance management
  • Proven experience in delivering successful marketing initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team of professionals
  • Excellent communication skills at both departmental and executive level.


Salary: Dependant on Successful candidate

To manage the Food & Beverage service of the Restaurant and other associated areas

To be responsible for ensuring your team are experts in departmental service standards and that they consistently deliver the highest levels of guest satisfaction


To coordinate both the daily and strategic operation of the Restaurant to ensure efficient, professional service delivery in line with required standards, guest satisfaction and revenue maximisation

To attain and exceed budgetary revenue and cost targets through revenue maximisation and control of costs

To continually review our products and services and identify ways to positively enhance these to produce both the guest experience and the financial return

Essential skills:
Previous experience of restaurant management preferably in a 4/5* venue
Excellent Customer service, communication and attention to detail skill

Job Title:
We now have a number of roles available within this department at all levels

Brief Outline of Duties:
The purpose of the Conference & Banqueting team is to deliver a consistantly high level of service for our event guests. This includes the set up and presentation of the room, service of the meal and clear up following the event.
We hold a wide range of events each year ranging from boardroom functions for 2 people to gala dinners for 500+ so ensuring a varied but demanding role.
