Tennis
As a member of Mere’s Leisure Club, you will be able to perfect your game throughout the year thanks to our four artificial grass floodlit tennis courts. Our tennis section is very active, both socially and competitively.
Head coach is Bart Smethurst. Bart, who is married with two young children, has been with Mere for more than 20 years. Bart is BTCA and LTA qualified and has experience as a county and Wilson team coach. Bart has two LTA/DCA qualified coaches working with him.
Senior tennis
- Part of the NE Cheshire League
- Six teams in the summer league, three in the winter league (from Div 1-6)
- Inter Club Leagues
- Inter Club Tournaments (American, Trophy and Social Cup)
- Mixed social tennis midweek evenings and on Sunday afternoons
- Ladies mornings for varying abilities, three during the week
- Adult coaching groups
- One-on-one lessons
