Head Professional Peter Eyre has enjoyed more than 25 years at Mere Golf & Country Club. He joined the club in 1980 as Assistant Professional, under the guidance of Mere’s highly respected pro of the time, Eddie Goodwin. Over the years Peter has scored many victories in Professional and Pro-Am tournaments in Europe, the United States and South Africa. He succeeded to the post of Professional at Mere in 1991, on Eddie’s retirement.
Peter dedicates most of his working week to Mere and its members. He also enjoys hosting golf clinics for clients taking part in Mere’s popular Corporate Golf Days. Peter is a family man, married with two sons – both of whom have caught the bug off dad and are keen golfers themselves.
In addition to the head professional Mere has two additional qualified professionals;
